Valley Prison [V3] Beginner Guide

First session

1. Before you spawn — You do not need a code, a gamepass, or a high level to start. Inmate and Civilian are open immediately. Corrections roles open as your account level rises.
2. Five sides — The official listing names Inmate, Corrections, Escapee, Civilian, and State Police. Escapee is not a menu pick. You become one by leaving the perimeter.
3. Server limits — Servers are 50 players. Voice chat is not supported on the listing. Say important calls in text or on the team radio.
4. Controls that block new players — Bind sprint and reload if you are on a controller. On PC, learn drop, aim, and interact before you pick up contraband.
5. Drop contraband — Z or Backspace drops the held item. /drop and /d do the same. Guards usually cannot drop issued guns.
6. Check T and Y — T and Y are assigned differently on two control lists. Open Settings if radio, flashlight, or hotmic is on the wrong key.
7. First goal — Inmates either work a shift or build an exit. Guards patrol vents, the kitchen, the basement, and the gates, and they cuff people who are only out of bounds.
8. Break out — Laundry rope, a checkpoint keycard, or a screwdriver vent. The Escapee tag is the proof, not the fence animation.
9. Earn XP legally — Kitchen and laundry pay at level 0. Janitor puddles and maintenance vents pay once those teams unlock.
